What “printed here” actually means

About 95% of what we sell is made in this building on Fulton Avenue. Nothing gets uploaded to a plant in another state and shipped back with a tracking number and a shrug. That single fact is the reason a printer can answer the phone and tell you the truth about your job, and it’s the mechanism behind the 10:00 AM same-day cutoff.

It also means you can walk in and watch, which people do more often than you’d think, especially on apparel, where shirts get pressed while you wait.

The four families of print work

Things you hand people. Business cards (500 for $58, 1,000 for $78), postcards (500 4×6 for $125), flyers and brochures (500 glossy for $165), rack cards and door hangers. The cheapest per-piece marketing that exists, and the fastest to reorder once your file is on record.

Things your business runs on. Letterhead and envelopes, carbonless forms and invoice books, numbered receipt books, appointment cards, labels, and the medical and dental forms that have to match what your practice already uses. Unglamorous, ordered on a schedule, and the work that turns a customer into an account.

Things that sell in the room. Menus, price boards, table tents, posters, counter cards, and the seasonal inserts that let you change what you push without reprinting everything. Restaurants and retail live here.

Things people wear and keep. Shirts from $15 for a front or back print, $20 for both sides, crewnecks and hoodies on the posted list, plus booklets, programs, presentation folders and gift vouchers.

Choosing a quantity

Per-piece cost falls as the run grows. 1,000 business cards at $78 works out to well under half the per-card cost of 500 at $58, and the same shape holds across flyers and postcards. That argues for ordering more.

Arguing the other way: information goes stale. A phone number changes, a person leaves, an offer ends, and 2,000 pieces of paper become recycling. The honest middle is to order the quantity you’ll genuinely use in the period before something is likely to change, and to keep the file with us so the next run is a phone call.

If you’re unsure, ask for both numbers. We’ll quote 500 and 1,000 and you can decide with the actual difference in front of you.

Before you send the file

A print-ready PDF at the finished size, with images around 300 dpi at that size, prints without a conversation. Anything else (AI, EPS, PSD, PNG, JPG, or a Canva export) works too, and the design desk deals with imperfect files every day.

The two things worth checking yourself: that important text isn’t crowded against the edge where it can be trimmed, and that the phone number is right. The full file guide is here, and every job gets a free proof before it runs.

Questions we get asked.

Can you print the same day?

Most standard printing, yes. Business cards, flyers, postcards, menus, forms and apparel are all same-day work if the order is in by 10:00 AM Monday to Friday with print-ready art. Laminated pieces, large runs, and anything needing real design time take longer, and we’ll give you a real date.

Do you do large runs, like magazines or booklets?

Yes. Booklets, programs and magazine-style work are made here, and customers have used us for exactly that. These are quoted on quantity, page count and finishing rather than a flat rate, so call with those three numbers. Large runs need lead time; tell us the deadline first.

Can you mail it as well as print it?

Yes. We print, address and mail direct-mail work on one invoice, so you’re not coordinating between a printer and a mail house. Bring the list and the piece and we’ll handle the rest.

Can you match printing we already use?

That’s a routine request. Bring a sample: a form, a card, a menu, a letterhead, and we reproduce it, or clean it up if you want it improved without looking like a different company. The file then stays on record for reorders.
