Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE JULY 2026 · ACE PRINTING & SAME DAY SIGNS · SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
1. About This Policy
Ace Printing & Same Day Signs (“Ace,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a family-owned print and sign shop at 1835 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the shop, why we collect it, who sees it, and the rights you have over it. Written in plain language, because that is how we run the counter too. The short version: we collect only what we need to quote and produce your order, we never sell it, and you can ask us to show, correct, or delete it at any time.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you request a quote, chat with our website assistant, call, email, or order at the counter, you may provide: your name, phone number, email address, business name, delivery address (when delivery is arranged), and the details of your job (sizes, quantities, deadlines, message text). When you send artwork. Logos, photos, design files, or samples of existing pieces to match. Those files are part of your job record.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly every website, our server records standard technical logs: IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited, referring page, and timestamps. We use these solely for security, troubleshooting, and understanding which pages are useful. Our quote form and chat are protected by anti-spam and anti-bot measures that automatically evaluate submissions for abuse.
2.3 Payment Information
This website does not collect or store payment card information. Payments are handled at the counter or by the payment method arranged when you order. If we ever add online payment, it will be processed by a dedicated payment processor and this policy will be updated to say so before it happens.
2.4 Information From Other Sources
Occasionally information about you reaches us from somewhere other than you: a colleague places an order for your business and lists you as the contact; a review you post publicly on Google or Yelp mentions your project; or a referral partner passes along your request. We treat that information exactly like information you gave us directly. Used only to serve the request, never sold.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above for the following business purposes, and no others:
• Quoting and production. Responding to your request, preparing proofs, and producing your order.
• Job communication. Proof approvals, clarifying questions, ready-for-pickup calls and texts, and delivery coordination.
• Reorders. Keeping your artwork and specifications on file so a repeat order takes one phone call instead of a design session.
• Business records. Invoices, receipts, and the ordinary accounting and tax records every business keeps.
• Website operation. Security, debugging, and understanding which pages actually help visitors.
• Fraud and abuse prevention. Protecting the site, the shop, and our staff.
We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, profiling, or automated decisions with legal effects, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone, and never have.
4. AI Chat Assistant (“Inky”)
4.1 How Inky Works
This site offers an AI chat assistant named Inky, powered by a third-party large-language-model provider (Anthropic’s Claude). When you chat, your messages are transmitted to that provider to generate responses about our products, posted prices, and turnaround.
4.2 What Inky Collects
The conversation itself, plus any contact details you choose to share (typically name and phone number so the shop can follow up). A transcript of your chat may be emailed to our team so a human can pick up where Inky left off.
4.3 How We Use Chat Data
To respond to your request and follow up on quotes. Chat transcripts are treated like any other lead: business records, not marketing fodder. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
4.4 The AI Provider’s Data Handling
Chat messages are processed by Anthropic under its commercial API terms, which do not permit using our customers’ conversations to train its models. Messages are transmitted encrypted. We send the provider only the conversation itself, never your job files, and never information from our other records.
4.5 Limitations of Inky
Inky is a helpful assistant, not a contract. Prices Inky quotes come from our posted price list, but the final price of any job is confirmed by our team when you order. AI assistants can occasionally word things imperfectly; when Inky and our posted policies disagree, the posted policies control. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in chat. Your name, contact info, and job details are all it ever needs.
4.6 Prefer a Human?
Every single thing Inky does is also available by phone at (916) 944-7195 or at the counter. Using the chat assistant is always optional.
5. Information Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only what each needs to do its job: website hosting; email delivery (quote notifications and confirmations); the AI provider that powers Inky (chat messages only); and anti-spam/security services (submission data only). Each provider processes data on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our staff and customers. We do not sell personal information and have not sold it in the preceding 12 months.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
6.1 What We Use
This site is intentionally light on tracking. We use: functional local storage. Small values saved in your browser that remember things like whether you hid the chat widget or your accessibility-widget preferences; and basic analytics, if enabled, to count visits and popular pages. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
6.2 Managing Them
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site keeps working (your saved preferences simply reset).
7. Data Retention
Quote requests and chat transcripts are kept as long as useful for follow-up and business records. Job files and artwork are kept on record so reorders are easy, typically for as long as you remain a customer. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted. You can shorten any of these timelines by asking. See Section 9.
8. Data Security
We protect information with reasonable technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire site, anti-bot protection on forms, access limited to the people who need it to serve you, and a hosting environment maintained with current security patches. No website can promise perfect security, but we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Whoever you are, wherever you live, you can ask us to: show you the personal information we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; delete your information, including artwork files on record; or give you a copy in a portable format. We honor these requests without discrimination. Asking will never change your pricing or how you’re treated at the counter.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Call (916) 944-7195 (Mon–Fri 9:00 AM–5:00 PM), visit us at 1835 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825, or send a request through the contact page. We verify requests by matching the details you provide against our records. Enough to be sure we’re talking to the right person, never more than needed.
10. California Resident Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
10.1 Your Rights Under California Law
California residents have the rights described in Section 9 as a matter of law, plus the right to know the categories of personal information collected (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, as described in Section 2), the categories of sources (you, your device, our service providers), the business purposes (Section 3), and the categories of third parties with whom information is shared (Section 5). We respond to verified requests within 45 days, extendable once by 45 days with notice, as the CCPA provides.
10.2 No Sale or Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CPRA defines that term. There is therefore nothing to opt out of, and we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share” link because none is needed. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our services.
10.3 Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. We will ask for proof of the authorization and verify your identity directly, as California law permits.
11. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites in the first place, there is nothing extra for these signals to turn off, but you can consider them honored.
12. Children’s Privacy
This is a business-services website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, call us and we will delete it. (Parents ordering graduation signs for their kids: the information you submit about your graduate (a name and a photo for the sign) is job artwork, handled under Section 7, and deleted on request like any other file.)
12a. International Visitors
This site is operated from California for a Sacramento-area audience. If you visit from outside the United States, understand that any information you submit is processed and stored in the U.S. under U.S. law. We apply the same protections to everyone regardless of location.
13. A Note on Medical & Dental Forms
We print blank forms, prescription pads, labels, and cards for medical and dental practices. We do not receive, process, or store patient health information, and nothing in our printing work involves protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA. Practices remain responsible for how printed materials are used in their offices.
14. Third-Party Links
This site links to outside services. Google Maps for directions, our Facebook and Instagram pages, and reviews platforms. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and what you do there is governed by them, not by this policy.
15. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be flagged plainly at the top of the page. We will never quietly reduce your rights.
