Terms of Service
EFFECTIVE JULY 2026 · ACE PRINTING & SAME DAY SIGNS · SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These terms govern your use of this website and every order placed with Ace Printing & Same Day Signs (“Ace,” “we,” “us”). Whether placed through the site, by phone, by email, through our chat assistant, or at the counter at 1835 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825. Placing an order means you accept them. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask us before you order and you’ll get a straight answer.
2. About Us
Ace is an independent, family-owned print and sign shop serving the greater Sacramento area. Roughly 95% of what we sell is produced in-house at our Fulton Avenue shop, which is what makes our same-day service possible.
3. Quotes, Pricing & the Posted Price List
3.1 Posted Prices
The prices published on this site reflect our current counter price list and are updated when the counter list changes. Because material costs move, prices can change, but the price quoted when you place your order is the price you pay for that order.
3.2 Quotes
Written quotes are good for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Large runs, rush work, special materials, installation, and design-heavy jobs are quoted individually. Bulk discounts apply to larger quantities as quoted.
3.3 Square-Foot Pricing
Sign pricing is by the square foot of finished product, rounded to practical production sizes. Our team confirms the final measured price before production.
3.4 Errors
If a price on this site is ever plainly wrong (a typo or stale update), we’ll tell you the correct price before you commit. You never find out at pickup.
4. AI Chat Assistant (“Inky”)
4.1 What Inky Is For
Inky answers questions using our posted prices and shop policies and can collect your contact details so our team follows up. Inky’s answers are informational assistance, not a binding quote or contract.
4.2 Verification by Our Team
Every job Inky discusses is confirmed by a human before production. Final sizes, quantities, prices, and deadlines come from our team, not the bot. If Inky ever says something that conflicts with these terms or the posted list, the terms and the list control.
5. Proofs, Approval & Accuracy
5.1 Proof Approval
Custom work gets a proof before production. Once you approve a proof, the job prints as approved. Check spelling, phone numbers, dates, addresses, and colors carefully. Approval is your confirmation that everything is correct.
5.2 Errors in Approved Proofs
We are not responsible for errors that appear in an approved proof. If we make an error that is not in the approved proof, we reprint the job at no charge. That is our mistake to fix, and we fix it.
5.3 Customer-Supplied Files
Print-ready means correctly sized, with fonts embedded or outlined, at adequate resolution (300 dpi at print size for raster art). Our design desk can repair imperfect files, sometimes for a design fee we’ll quote first. Low-resolution source files can only look as good as what’s in them. We’ll warn you when quality will suffer.
5a. Design Revisions & Change Orders
Reasonable proof revisions are part of getting the job right. Substantial changes after design work begins (new artwork direction, changed sizes or quantities, added products) are change orders: we’ll tell you if a change affects the price or the timeline before proceeding. Changes requested after production starts can’t always be accommodated; we’ll tell you straight what’s possible.
6. Same-Day & Turnaround
6.1 The Same-Day Window
Same-day applies to standard jobs ordered by 10:00 AM Monday–Friday with print-ready art (or art our design desk can finish quickly), subject to production capacity. We are closed weekends.
6.2 Honesty Rule
If a job cannot be completed same-day, we tell you before you commit, not at 4:45 PM. Jobs ordered after the cutoff, or requiring proof revisions, move to the next business day.
6.3 What Same-Day Doesn’t Cover
Complex products (vehicle graphics, building and monument signs, installations, large apparel runs, and specialty materials) carry their own quoted timelines.
7. Artwork & Intellectual Property
7.1 Your Warranties to Us
You confirm you own or are licensed to reproduce any artwork, logos, photos, or text you submit, including school mascots, team marks, and brand assets, and you are responsible for that, not us. You agree to cover us if a third party claims otherwise.
7.2 Your Files
Files you provide remain your property. We keep them on record so reorders take one call; ask and we delete them.
7.3 Design Work We Create
Design work we create for your job becomes yours once the job is paid for. Until payment, it remains ours.
7.4 Portfolio Use
We may photograph finished work for our portfolio, website, and social media. It’s how a shop shows what it can do. Tell us when you order if you’d prefer your job stay private, and it will.
8. Color, Materials & Product Expectations
8.1 Color Matching
We match colors as closely as commercial printing allows. Slight variation between screens, proofs, and finished products, and between print runs or different materials. Is inherent to printing and is not a defect.
8.2 Outdoor Lifespan
Outdoor products are made from commercial-grade materials, but sun, wind, and weather age all signage. Lifespan varies by material and exposure; we’ll recommend the right material for how long you need the sign to last (see the material guide on our prices page).
8.3 Apparel
Garment sizing and color follow the blank manufacturer’s specifications. Heat-pressed graphics last longest when garments are washed cold, inside-out, and hung to dry.
9. Payment, Pickup & Storage
9.1 Payment
Payment is due as agreed when you order, typically at pickup for standard jobs, and in advance for large runs and custom materials. Applicable California sales tax is added to taxable sales.
9.2 Pickup
We’ll tell you when your order is ready. Please collect completed orders promptly; we may dispose of orders left uncollected after 90 days, after trying to reach you.
9.3 Delivery
Where delivery is arranged, it is complete when the order arrives at the agreed address. Risk passes to you at that point.
10. Cancellations, Returns & Make-Goods
10.1 Cancellation
Custom-printed products cannot be restocked, so orders can be canceled only before production starts. Work already performed (including design time) may be charged.
10.2 Defects
If a finished product is defective or doesn’t match the approved proof, tell us within 7 days of pickup or delivery. We make it right. Reprint or refund of the affected items, our choice. That has been the deal at this counter for years.
11. Installation Services
11.1 Workmanship
Where we install signage, we do so in a workmanlike manner at the agreed location, including elevated work performed with appropriate equipment.
11.2 Permissions & Permits
You are responsible for confirming you have the right to install signage at the location. Landlord consent, HOA rules, and local sign permits, unless we agree in writing to handle permitting for the job. Sacramento-area jurisdictions each have their own sign codes; ask us and we’ll point you to the right office.
11.3 Site Conditions
Installation pricing assumes reasonable site access and sound mounting surfaces. Concealed conditions (deteriorated walls, inaccessible power for lighted signs) may require a change to the quote, discussed before we proceed.
11a. Medical & Dental Forms Printing
We print blank forms, pads, labels, and cards to the specifications your practice provides. Your practice is responsible for ensuring the content and format of its forms meet the regulatory requirements that apply to it (including any requirements specific to prescription products in California). We do not receive or store patient health information. See Section 13 of our Privacy Policy.
11b. Communications About Your Order
By placing an order or requesting a quote, you agree we may call or email you about that order or request. Proof approvals, questions, ready-for-pickup notices. That’s operational communication, not marketing; we don’t run marketing text campaigns.
Text messages. We text you only if you check the “OK to text me” box on a quote form (or ask us to text you). Those messages are about your quote and order, for example, that your proof or pickup is ready. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies with your order. Reply STOP to any text to opt out (we’ll call or email instead) or HELP for help; you can also just call the shop at (916) 944-7195. Consent to texting is not a condition of purchase.
12. Use of This Website
You agree not to misuse the site. Specifically: no scraping or harvesting content or submitting spam; no attempting to probe, breach, or overload the site’s security; no submitting files containing malware; no impersonating another person or business in the quote form or chat; and no using the chat assistant or forms to harass our staff. There are people on the other end of both. We may block abusive traffic and decline abusive orders.
13. Our Content
The content of this website (text, design, the photographs of our work) belongs to Ace or its licensors. Customer marks visible in portfolio photos belong to those customers. You may not republish site content commercially without permission.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available but don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Product commitments are the ones in Sections 5–11. Those we stand behind.
15. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability on any job is limited to reprinting the job or refunding the amount paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Lost profits, missed events, and the like. Some jurisdictions limit such limitations; where they do, these apply to the fullest extent permitted.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
16.1 Talk to Us First
If something goes wrong, call us before anything else. (916) 944-7195. Nearly every problem in this shop’s history has been solved with a conversation and a reprint. Formal process is the last resort, not the first.
16.2 Law & Venue
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally belongs to the state courts of Sacramento County, California (or small-claims court where it qualifies, often the fastest path for order disputes).
16.3 Housekeeping
If part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stands. Our failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of it. These terms plus your approved quote and proof are the entire agreement for a job; nobody’s casual remark changes them. You may not assign your order to someone else without telling us; we may use qualified subcontractors for specialized steps (like electrical work on lighted signs) while remaining responsible to you.
17. Changes to These Terms
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date; changes apply to orders placed after that date.
