How building-sign quotes work here

POSTED · JULY 2026

Building and monument signs are quoted per project, because no two buildings, poles, or sites are the same. Bring a photo of the building and rough measurements, and the counter will price it fast and free. Quotes are good for 30 days.

Flat panel work follows our posted sign prices: aluminum composite with printed vinyl runs $13.50 per sq ft. So an 18x24 ACM panel is about $40, and a full 4x8 panel is 32 sq ft × $13.50 = $432. Vinyl lettering applied to the building is $7 per sq ft. Monument faces, pole panels, lighted cabinets, and installation are quoted at the counter.

“I ordered banner last minute and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Steve was extremely helpful and professional. The banner looks fabulous.”

Talk the sign through at the counter

Call (916) 944-7195 or walk in at 1835 Fulton Ave, more parking in the rear. A photo of your building and a few rough measurements are enough to start a real conversation.

Pick the right material and size for the site

We help you match the sign to the building, the mounting situation, and how far away people will be reading it. A sign that looks big in the shop can vanish at 40 mph, so we size for the street, not the sketch.

Settle the permit question early

Sacramento-area sign permits are the property or business owner's responsibility unless we arrange otherwise, and we'll point you to the right city or county office before anything is built. Sorting this first is how you avoid paying for a sign twice.

Approve a proof before fabrication starts

Nothing goes to production without your sign-off. If we ever get it wrong against the proof you approved, we make it right for free.

Fabricate in-house, then install

About 95% of what we sell is made in our own shop, and our crew handles installation, including elevated work by boom lift. Building signs are more involved than banners, so you get a quoted timeline up front instead of a guess.

Jobs like yours, already on the wall.

Encina High School: lighted sign with an LED reader board

A pole-mounted, illuminated school sign with the bulldog mascot up top and a programmable LED reader board below, so the school can change its message without a ladder. Our crew installed it by boom lift. It's a good example of a sign that mixes fabrication, electrical coordination, and elevated install work under one quote.

Orchard Dental: a monument face that kept the masonry

Orchard Dental's monument sign sits in a black frame between two stone pillars at the street. We produced a clean new face with their olive-branch artwork and street number, fitted into the existing structure. Refacing like this delivers a brand-new look at a fraction of what new masonry would cost.

Florin Medical Center: one pole, multiple tenants

The tall double-pole sign at Florin Medical Center carries individual panels for the practices inside, including Niazi Family Medicine & Urgent Care and Santa Cruz Palm Dental. Because each tenant has a separate panel, one practice can rebrand or move without the whole plaza buying a new sign.

Why Sacramento businesses bring building signs to Fulton Ave

A shop that actually builds the thing

Fulton Avenue is Sacramento's sign row, and plenty of storefronts on it are really just order desks. About 95% of what we sell is made in-house by the people you talk to at the counter, which means the person quoting your monument face has actually fabricated one.

Install crew with a boom lift, not a referral

A building sign isn't finished until it's on the building. We handle installation ourselves, including elevated pole-sign and lighted-sign work, so one shop is accountable from artwork to mounted sign.

A proof, in writing, before a single panel is cut

Building signs are too expensive to eyeball. Every custom job gets a proof before production, quotes are honored for 30 days, and if we err against your approved proof, the reprint is on us.

The kind of reviews complex jobs earn

Ryan Berry called out our "extraordinary precision for a complex signage order," and Jane Holick quoted every sign company on Fulton before deciding, in her words, "this place is a GEM." That's the bar we quote against.

Same-day starts before 10 AM.

Free proof, posted prices, and a straight answer on today vs. tomorrow.

Building sign questions we hear at the counter

Do you install building signs, or just fabricate them?

Both. We make most of our signage in-house and our own crew handles installation, including elevated work with a boom lift for pole signs and lighted signs. One shop stays accountable from proof to mounted sign.

Do I need a permit for a building or monument sign in Sacramento?

Often, yes. Exterior signs in the Sacramento area typically involve city or county sign rules, and the permit is the property or business owner's responsibility unless we arrange otherwise. We'll point you to the right office early so the permit question is settled before fabrication starts.

Can you replace just the face of my existing monument sign?

Yes, and it's usually the smart move. If your structure is sound, we produce a new face with your current branding and fit it into the existing frame or masonry, the way we did for Orchard Dental's sign between its stone pillars. You get a new-looking sign without paying for new construction.

How much does a building or monument sign cost?

They're quoted per project, because size, material, mounting, and site access all move the number. As a reference point, flat aluminum composite panel work follows our posted $13.50 per square foot price, so a 4x8 ACM panel runs $432. Bring a photo of your building and the counter will quote the rest fast and free, with quotes good for 30 days.

Can a building sign be done same-day?

No, and we'd be suspicious of anyone who says yes. Our same-day service covers standard print and sign jobs ordered by 10:00 AM with print-ready art; building signs, monument faces, and installs are complex jobs that get a quoted timeline instead. You'll know the schedule before you commit.

Do you handle multi-tenant pole signs?

Yes. We produce individual tenant panels sized to the existing structure, like the panels on the Florin Medical Center pole sign for the practices inside. New tenants can be added or swapped without replacing the whole sign.

Do you do lighted signs and LED reader boards?

We do. The lighted pole sign at Encina High School, with its LED reader board, was one of ours, installed by boom lift. If a changeable message is part of your plan, tell us up front and we'll quote the sign around it.

What do you need from me to put together a quote?

A photo of the building or sign site, rough measurements, and your logo or artwork if you have it. If you don't, our design desk can build the art from samples or photos. We keep your files on record afterward, so matching panels or reorders are a phone call.
