OCTOBER THROUGH DECEMBER
The season retail can’t afford to miss.
Fourth-quarter retail runs on signage, and it all needs to go up at once. Window graphics and lettering are a posted $7 per square foot, sale banners $6, and rigid signs by material from foam board at $10 to aluminum composite at $13.50.
What sells in Q4
Window vinyl for the seasonal display. Sale and promotion banners that change three times between Halloween and New Year’s. Holiday hours signs for the door: the single most-asked-for small job in December. Gift certificates printed on real card stock. A-frames for the sidewalk. Menu inserts for restaurants running a seasonal list.
Plan the swaps once
Shops that do this well set the whole season up in October: one design pass, several dated versions, all on file. Then each swap is a reprint call instead of a scramble, and the artwork already matches. That’s the same “art on file” arrangement business accounts run on all year.
In by 10 AM, out by 5 for most of it. Call (916) 944-7195 or send the details below.
Fourth-quarter costs
Window vinyl and lettering are a posted $7 per square foot: a 4×6 foot holiday window graphic is $168. Sale banners at $6 per square foot put a 3×6 at $108.
Rigid signage for doors and displays runs by material. Foam board at a posted $10 per square foot, PVC at $11, aluminum composite at $13.50. A 12×18 hours sign on PVC is $16.50.
Gift certificates print on card stock and are quoted from the run, like business cards at 500 for $58.
Set the season up in October
The shops that handle Q4 well design once in October and print in stages. One artwork pass produces the Black Friday version, the December version, and the after-Christmas clearance version. All consistent, all on file, each printed when it's needed.
That's cheaper and calmer than three separate emergency design jobs in three months, and it means the storefront always looks intentional rather than assembled.
Holiday hours are the single most-requested small job in December. Get that sign made early, and make it big enough to read from the sidewalk.
Questions we get asked.
Can window graphics be removed after the holidays?
Tell us the surface and how long the graphic needs to stay up, and we'll recommend the right vinyl. Removability and durability are a trade-off. We'll be honest about which you're choosing.
How early should I order holiday signage?
October is the comfortable window for a full seasonal set. Individual pieces can still be same-day when ordered by 10:00 AM, but December gets busy for everyone.
Do you print gift certificates?
Yes, on real card stock, numbered if you need them tracked. Tell us whether they'll be handwritten or filled in digitally. That changes the stock we recommend.
