What a banner actually costs.
Most sign shops make you request a quote and wait. Here the rate is posted: vinyl banners are $6 per square foot, hemmed and grommeted, printed at 1835 Fulton Ave. Multiply your size and you have the price before you call.
Common sizes at the posted rate
- 2×4 ft (8 sq ft) $48. Counter and table banners
- 3×6 ft (18 sq ft) $108: the common fence banner
- 3×8 ft (24 sq ft) $144. Grand openings, job sites
- 4×10 ft (40 sq ft) $240. Building fronts, events
- 4×20 ft (80 sq ft) $480: the big one

What that price includes
Printing, hems, and grommets: the finishing most shops quote separately. What it doesn’t include is design time if you need artwork built from scratch, and installation if the banner is going somewhere that needs a ladder or a lift. Both get quoted honestly before the work starts.
Why the online printers look cheaper
They are, per square foot, and they should be: a warehouse press in another state has different math than a family shop on Fulton Avenue. What they can’t do is hand you the banner this afternoon, look at your artwork with you, or fix it at a counter if something’s wrong. Order by 10 AM Monday through Friday and most banners are ready by 5 the same day.

What changes the price, and what doesn't
Square footage sets the price. Material and finishing on a standard vinyl banner do not: the posted $6 per square foot already includes hems and grommets, which many shops quote as extras after the fact.
What can add cost: artwork built from scratch if you don't have a design, pole pockets or wind slits on some installations, and installation if the banner is going somewhere that needs a ladder or a lift. All of that is quoted before the work starts, never after.
What doesn't add cost: full-color printing. A one-color banner and a full-color photographic banner are the same posted rate, so there's no reason to design in a way you don't want.
Choosing the size
Read distance is the practical guide. A banner viewed from across a parking lot needs much larger type than one hanging behind a registration table, and undersized lettering is the most common regret. If you're unsure, tell us where it's hanging and how far away people will be standing.
Standard sizes are usually cheaper per square foot of attention than custom ones simply because they fit standard spaces. Fences, storefront bands, and event tables. A 3×8 is the most-ordered size here for a reason.

Is there a minimum order?
Very small pieces can carry a minimum charge, which is why the free proof confirms the final number before you pay. There's no minimum quantity though. One banner is a real order.
How long does a vinyl banner last outdoors?
That depends heavily on sun exposure, wind, and how it's mounted, so we won't quote a number we can't stand behind. Tell us where it's going and how long you need it to last, and we'll recommend the material honestly.
Can I bring my own design?
